ArmorLube is an advanced surface treatment for your gun that delivers enhanced performance with the following benefits:
ArmorLube is a not a spray-on coating, a wet lubricant, or a dry bake-on. Instead, ArmorLube is an advanced PECVD surface treatment – a permanent dry lubricant and finish in one. In some ways, the ArmorLube application process is similar to the plasma ion nitriding system. Due to the equipment necessary to apply ArmorLube, it is not possible to purchase the coating off-the-shelf in stores. Please contact your nearest ARMORLUBE DEALER for sales inquires.
Armorlube coating is deposited onto a component’s surface by the Duralar™ Emperion™ deposition system. This system bathes metal parts in a dense plasma, so that all surfaces — interior, exterior and complex 3D shapes — are coated with high uniformity and at a very high rate, without the limitations of spray-type coatings.
The Army’s Research, Development and Engineering Command (ARDEC) testing of ArmorLube shows a durable, solid lubricant with real benefits for gun owners including:
4x increase in rounds fired without stoppages compared to dry phosphates baseline
More consistent cyclic rates
Highly resistant to wear and eliminating hydrogen embrittlement from standard phosphate treatments
Easier to clean and maintain
“Wear resistance and the ability to function without liquid lubrication has been the most interesting performance aspect…. it has a low friction coefficient, so it’s easy to clean off anything that builds up. You can use a steel brush to knock off any residue, and you don’t even have to worry about reapplying anything.”
ArmorLube can be applied to most semi-automatic and automatic weapons parts including bolt carriers, hammers, magazines and slides and other moving parts where wear, dirt and corrosion can affect performance.
